Checked the portal after other responders suggested to. Accepted with $10k merit scholarship for the first year!

Worth checking the website, even without email. $25k in funding for first year.

Checked website out of the blue and was happy to see the letter of acceptance. Offered $7k for the first year as scholarship.

Not surprised at all, considering the small size of Econ Department at Georgetown.

Second time applied. Second time rejected. Not meant to be. Good luck to all.

Agree with the comment below... nicest impersonal rejection email thus far!

Please decline if you have better offers. I really want to go here, god bless.

my other GRE score was 158/166/5, 3 years in uni, 2 majors math/econ 3/4 years of research in complex numbers, 1.5 in statistics, 10 weeks at an REU in a top school for financial mathematics. Good LOR. Most likely not admitted due to few high-level econ courses. 1a(MS program)/9r/3intv/0w/3p

That was the nicest unpersonalized email I have ever received. Sad.

e-mail from John Rust, director of admissions

Nicest rejection email from John Rust. The only uni that I would turn down my top 20 for :(

"the fact that we are unable to offer you admission should not be interpreted as a criticism or lack of appreciation of your qualifications and potential." well thanks
