Deeply deeply hurt. Got interviewed and rejected, one month in between. Fake hope.

Cosmology theory

2 years of research experience in CMX and 2.5 years of TA experience. Everyone is getting rejection from Princeton- hope so they might not quit their physics dept!

gpa is ma. was a reach and no interview, so no surprise there. 1a/1w/5r/3p

Applied as HEP-Ex. Had an interview that didn't go very well. 2+ years of Nuclear Experimental research, an REU at a top public institution, and a poster presentation at DNP 2023 associated with that REU.

Notified to check portal, no interview. Super bummed, my research interests were very aligned with my POIs. GPA is MA.

Anyone else got an email that portal has been updated, but after checking there's no update?

Got an email to check the applicant portal, clicked on the status, and saw the rejection letter. It was definitely a reach, but I'm glad I heard back! 0a/0w/1r/6p

generic rejection

assumed so when i didn't get an interview invite, but glad i know for sure so i can focus on other options! 5a/2w/2r/1p

I mean, it was a long shot. Somehow i'm excited that at least I can hear back from a school even if it's a rejection 💀. I'm just livid at this point. Second rejection of the season.

Update on portal, expected as I was not interviewed + my research interests were probably not a great fit in a literature dept. (2a/1w/5r/4p)

Assumed a rejection, another one bites the dust. Tough cycle. 1a/6r/0w/7p
