Email to view Application Status in Portal. Letter informing of rejection.

Informal notification from POIs. Cannot believe it myself. (This is a second post because I incorrectly posted the first time.)

informal email from POIs. Still in shock. Probably won't believe it until I see the official letter. Subfield: JPN lit/film

Email from chair. "very short waitlist"

IGNORE STATUS - anyone not hear anything yet? Is it safe to assume it's a rejection now? Or is there a chance for more spaces today?

2 years of research in solid-state circuits (EE), R1 university, no publications, 1 year of R&D work in industry. Really happy!

unsurprised; was the most tenuous fit on my list. 1a/2i/2r/0w/0p

Email notification for a portal update came at around 5pm EST, February 22nd. It seems that the acceptance posts last week were not genuine.

Taking a lot longer this year than previously but glad to find out!

Please do not believe everything you read on gradcafe. The notifications for the CMES joint PhD and waitlists came out today. The previous CMES postings were false and I'm not sure why they exerted their energy to stress people out. Good luck to everyone during this crazy cycle!

Shocked but very happy!

I am waitlisted. Are there any accepted people here? Did you get into any other program and think about declining the offer? It's so important for me.
