No GRE, 4.0 Majors GPA, contacted PI beforehand

Interview in the next two weeks

POI emailed me saying that they could not offer interview for ION program, instead I was offered an interview for the HPhy PhD program (POI's main department). Three years of RA experience in multiple labs and three great LOR.

Same email as all the others, no funding for Fall 2021 so they are not admitting students. Just weighing in because I like knowing how many people applied and also use grad cafe. 0a/0r/0w/10p

Got a call from POI, no GRE, inorganic. No official email yet, visit day is at the end of February

notified by the poi that they are not going to take new students in China sector this year...............:(

Very sad as this was my top choice. Hopefully I get off the waitlist at some point. Congratulations to everyone that got in, if you are rejecting the offer please do it as soon as you decide!

Unofficial and conditional acceptance from PI with ultimatum that I accept very soon so they can secure funding...

General email stating they received record number of strong applications.

Email from HDFS Graduate Committee member to schedule interview. Awaiting separate email regarding interview with POI.

On the interview waitlist

"We regret to inform you that your application was not among those selected for an on-campus interview. This year we received interest from over 500 applicants for the 2021 class of 50 students."

Email from admissions saying there is no new funding available for new students so they are suspending admissions this year and will refund the cost of the application.
