TTPB: Yes, that'd be a safe assumption. They roll out all the rejects at the end when they're sure they don't want any more admits.

Curtains on UMass CS PhD? Looks like a ton of people got acceptances for PhD F21. My portal still says Application under review. Should I assume it's a reject now?

1/13 Interview with a poi 1/20 Email of status update on application portal

I am not sure who is true. There are so many admits reported making me believe that results are out. On the other hand, a senior phd student has contradicted it. Anyone who heard back from POI?

In the last two years, UW seems to have sent the acceptances in February (5 Feb 2020, 1 Feb 2019). This year, there is Covid (so, adcom meetings are remote) and quite probably more applications than last year. But people are claiming they were accepted on 19 Jan. They are obviously trolls.

It seems that a lot of applicants claim they are admitted to University of Washington, which makes me really confused. I am a senior Ph.D. student at UW. My advisor is going to interview a few applicant next week, so I suppose the final decision hasn't been made by our department. Just wonder how those applicants received their offer from UW.

It's really pathetic for people to be trolling here. Give some posters the benefit of the doubt. I would hope that most of us have the integrity to make honest posts. But if you don't trust this forum, then take it with a grain of salt and move on. If you're butthurt because other people have been "accepted" and you decide to troll, not only do you make it worse for others that are looking for genuine posts, but you encourage other trolls to do ruin it for the rest of us. If you're being a troll, take a moment to reflect on how you're making things more toxic in here.

In response to the latest poster: I never really checked my portal after submitting my application. Since I had applied before to UW, I knew the decision would come from an email. I didn't get an email this time though... I just checked after reading the posts below. The portal says "congratulations" and then an option to accept the admission.

To the last poster: So, when you first checked after the acceptance posts, was your portal still showing "Submitted" and then after some time it changed to accepted?
