TTPB: I totally agree. The profile is pretty average. For the most part, LOR and SOP are the most important. Also, there is no publication which is a complete drawback. Rest consider collaborating with the professor and work on the research papers. This will get you strong LOR and publication at the same time. This will reflect in your SOP which will consequently make your SOP strong.

TTPB: @Aman Sharma, can't see your CGPA anywhere. Given that you're from Metallurgical and Materials Engineering, you've done a lot of coding for sure. Here are a few pointers that might have been the reason for rejection in my honest opinions: 1. Statement of purpose 2. GPA (if less than 9) 3. Grades in relevant courses (if < 9) 4. Mediocre LORs (For branch switch, you'd need a very strong LORs to be considered) 5. Lack of research experience

To the students getting the interview call at Harvard on 19th, did any of you get any information on the next steps? Any further comments from poi?

TTPB: As seen from grad cafe in 2020, someone wrote that he got accepted without interview. Also, in 2020 the interviews continued until approximately Jan 25. However, the admissions if somebody gets admitted, he will notified in early February. In contrary, the rejections come at late February (all this information can be seen from grad cafe 2020).

Yes, I believe the interviews are finished. However, I have no clue whatsoever if someone can be accepted without an interview.

To the last Harvard poster: So you are saying that the interviews have been finisihed? Is it possible to get accepted without any interviews or should I assume that I am rejected since I haven't received any interview requests?

I'm the poster for interview notified on the 19th. The interviews are supposed to wrap up for the department by the end of Thursday, which is the 21st.

I cant open the Decision status on USC. Maybe they are uploading or stuff?
