4.0 MSW GPA, 3.91 BSW GPA. No GRE. Received an email to check my portal for a decision at 9:00pm on a Friday night while out, which felt inappropriate. Their super rude message made me feel alright about not going here: "Your application has been reviewed, and the committee has denied admission". No "thank you for taking the time to apply to our program", nothing. Ok, great!

This decision makes a lot of sense to me, as my fit with the program is not great, and I am honored to be on the waitlist!

I received an email about a status update and to check my portal. The rejection message was within the portal. "Thank you for applying for graduate study at the University of California, Berkeley. After a holistic and comprehensive review of all your application materials, we regret to inform you that we are unable to offer you admission at this time. The UC Berkeley campus has a strict enrollment ceiling, and we are thus very limited in the number of new students we may admit each year. The admissions committee in the program you applied to had the difficult task of selecting students with the strongest overall records from a large pool of well-qualified applicants. Unfortunately, this may result in not being able to accept many applicants who are capable or have the potential of excellent academic work. We are sorry we do not have a place for you in this year's class."
