GPA is MA. Still in shock!! 3a/2i/2r/5p

I received an email from my professor this morning. I am really sad that I was not admitted to the school, which is really my dream school. If I am not admitted, I will work as research assistant for a year. If anyone has received an offer from CEE or EPS but doesn't want to go, please let me have the opportunity, please please please, god please.

I was expecting something like this because I was not called for an interview. After all, Professors did not reply to my emails because I could not spend so much time digging up their work as I have a job.

1 paper, 3 REUs

My dream school. Medievalist. So grateful since it's not a direct rejection. Congrats on all the offer holders! (If any of you decides not to come by the way, could you plz plz make your decision asap. The endless wait is killing me.)

On behalf of the Graduate Faculty in Computer Science, I regret to inform you that we cannot offer you admission to the Ph.D. Program in Computer Science for this year. We had a record number of applicants this year. Since the number of students who can be accepted is limited and the overall quality of applicants is very high, it is not possible to accept many excellent students who are interested in coming to Cornell. We appreciate your interest in Cornell and hope you will consider us again should you be on the faculty market in a few years! We wish you every success in continuing your studies at another university.

General form rejection email! Expected this one, of course. 0a/0w/3p/2r
