Previously contacted POI November last year. Got an unofficial admission from POI a week ago and official today. Three undergrad research projects for in total 2 years of duration.

3 years of undergraduate/graduate research 4+1 program for chemistry -> materials science MS 1 conference presentation 2 publications, 1 of which is primary author Multiple TA/RA positions over the previous 3 years

Timeline: apply Jan. 1 interview Feb.3 accept Feb.11

1 yr+ research, TA since sophomore year

1 yr+ research, TA since sophomore year. DREAM school!!

Email to check portal. Offered diversity fellowship in addition to base stipend. Repeated 1 course, received "D" in core CHE course (extenuating circumstances, explained). Did not take GRE. 1+ year undergrad research leading to poster presentation. 2 years postgrad research leading to 3 in-progress papers. Strong LORs.

Applied close to deadline which was probably not in my favor

The email said 'We had over 325 applications and have 14-16 slots for students to start in fall 2022. Thus, admission was highly competitive this year, and we needed to place many outstanding students, including you, on a waitlist.' Anyway, I don't think the admission would arrive. Good luck to all!
