Was told by a potential advisor. 3 Publications, 2 REUs at a top 5 school, and solid LoRs.

TTPB : What was your GPA and overall profile?

Did not take the GRE.

TTPB wondering, I applied Dec 14, 2020. I received an email this morning to check my status, to which I did, and found that I was accepted.

TTPB: Yes, I have mailed them and asked when can we expect MS CS decisions. Will update here as soon as I get a reply.

TTPB to the previous 2 posters : Y'all need to tell us something. When did you apply? One post says admit via email, other says website. This seems fishy.

TTPB : I dont think they are fake. The websites says they start from Jan 15 to March 15 on a rolling basis. Only Phd and MS/phD are out till now it seems!

Focus in security

TTPB: I think they have not yet sent any email to MS only applicants. Did someone ask them when they will start giving the decisions out?

I'm pretty sure these Umass acceptances are fake, they said admissions will start coming out on the 30th.

To the admits below in Bio/NLP: Can you share your profile a bit? like publications or rank of your undergrad institute and so on?

TTPB, I completely agree. By all means, send these annoying emails once we are admitted - sending them before the admits doesn't even make much sense.

I am yet to receive any communication from UMass smh. FML. I submitted my application on 11th December. I'd like a formal rejection instead of this torturous wait.

TTPB: Submitted on 12/11, accepted 1/20, systems

F**k Columbia and their emails. "Your interest in Columbia Engineering means you're ready for a serious future in computer science." Don't give us hope and then destroy our 'serious future'

From POI. Area: Stat ML.

TTPB: I submitted it on 12/14. Area: Bio/NLP. I think they are still sending acceptances! Good luck!

Congrats on both of you who admission. When did you submit your application and what is your area of interest?

Thank you! Congratulation to you too!!
