email to check portal

To the poster below: Has your status changed on SGS website? Waiting for their response as well.

Going to my top choice anyway, but this finally wraps up my application season. 1 acceptance, 2 waitlists, 7 rejections. Just relieved that I won't have to do this ever again!

Randomly checked portal. Accepted at a better fit so not too bummed.

I sent an email to the department inquiring about my status. If somebody else is not going to accept their offer please let them know asap. I love this program and I need an acceptance :(

They sent an actual mail dated late-Feb. It's 2020 and they should start using emails for f sake.

Rejected. They said they would consider me for an MA, and that I shouldn't hold my breath for funding! it's cool colum ... got a spot somewhere else.

So after a long time waiting, I've been accepted! I feel so grateful and lucky, especially since I was on the waitlist.

Applied to PHD, accepted to Masters

Area of concentration: Early Modern. 3r/1a/2p/0w, all masters programs. Rejections by Madison, Riverside and Bard. Pending Urbana-Champaign and Long Beach. Haven't received any funding info but the reality of the cost of moving (across country) and living in NY have made this acceptance essentially a no go, very disappointed. Honestly, it's not looking good overall in terms of attending a program this fall, (second season of applications).

Got almost two Masters (part-scholarship one), one at Distinction level Russell Group last module, almost 4 years experience in Art field, published writer and invited lecturer - was a no. Translating foreign language text as thesis, want blood it seems. Only thing I can think of is that I didn't have best start first degree as I'm from low-income background and also International. Also my GRE, which is garbage anyway.
