I am sorry to inform you that we cannot offer you admission to the Ph.D. in Computer and Information Science, PhD Program at the University of Pennsylvania for the Fall 2022 term. The competition was highly intense this year, and there were many more highly qualified candidates than we had room to admit. Our decision reflects only the extraordinary range of talents represented in our applicant pool, and it is not a judgment about your own abilities or potential. We appreciate your interest in Penn Engineering and wish you success in all your future endeavors.

Rejected !!! As to be expected.

Email to check the portal. As expected, it is too competitive.

2 years work experience as a Software Dev at FAANG, 1 year of research at an Ivy, 4 papers in AI/ML (2A, 2C). Lots of hackathon wins and work on improving diversity in Tech.

Computer And Information Science, University Of Pennsylvania I know last year they had an acceptance rate of 10ish%, so it was pretty ambitious of me. GPA: 4.5/5. 7 months of research assistant experience, and 9 months of work experience in the form of internships at the time of application. No publications. No GRE. 3 semesters as TA. Second place out of 40 in European tech competition. TOEFL 113. Got email today to check for decision on their application system.
