Was waitlisted from my top school. If anyone out there was accepted and not planning on going , please let them know!

Rejected from the Ph.D., but offered admission to the M.A. program with 50% tuition remission. Already accepted another offer, but nice that it wasn’t an all out no! 2.5a(?)/1w/3r/1p

2a/1w/6r. I originally applied to their PhD program and was rejected.

Portal said there was a decision, but didn't say what it was. Had to wait for their email later in the day. Oh well. 2a/0w/7r/1p

After so many outright rejections, I'm taking this as a win. Emailed the director to ask about my status after seeing other people do the same.

I emailed the Graduate Director and was told that I was on the waitlist for the PhD in English (Literary History). He mentioned that he does not expect to make second round offers until the end of the month (March).

Emailed to check in because I had other offers that had deadlines. Was a long shot anyway I didn't have an English degree LOL.

Notification to check portal. GPA is MA. This cycle is kicking my ass, 0a/1w/7r/1p!

Rejected. Email to check the portal. Took much longer to receive a decision than stated on their departmental website.

Originally wanted to apply to the PhD program but was switched over to the MA program because I did not take the GRE. (Yes, Arkansas is one of the only schools which still requires the GRE for PhDs). Denied from their MA program on 3/10 after all the rigmarole with Admissions. Not salty though because I've been admitted to a few fully funded PhD programs elsewhere.

Just post a random PDF in the application portal with a one-line note that they cannot offer the position without notifying via email.

Reached out to program director. Doesn’t give me confidence that I’ll be un-waitlisted, especially as official waitlist emails went out over a month ago.

4 rejections/ 1 acceptance/ 1 waitlist/ 7 applied It was nice to get a yes! A little bit of a confidence booster, for sure, especially to a program that I've been interested in for years. In recent years, as I'm sure is that case nationwide, resources and funding have dwindled, so there is no longer GATships offered to students. Trying to figure out funding options and hoping to hear back from other schools with some good news. We shall see.
