Just send the department an email asking the size of enrollment last year, they'll let you know the single digit number. I read it on quora, a current phd student had written it. To the poster who applied MS in mechanical below, I have send the admission office several emails but got same generic reply saying 'decision will be made through the end of march'. I guess the worst case scenario is that the committee may even ignore our MS applications. | ||||

To the poster below. I had the misfortune of applying to UCB for MS in Mech also. From what I've read on the internet it also suggests they don't really admit students for an MS. Most likely they won't even review the application seriously. I haven't heard back but I am sure they'll reject me. What a waste of money. | ||||
