3 first author publications in {ACL, EACL, NAACL, EMNLP} and several workshop papers. Undergrad from a not highly ranked school in the US. Rejected without interview for NLP.

Did any international candidate receive an acceptance? And congratulations to all the previous admittees!

Did anybody hear any updates from Harvard SEAS? I could see some posts, but nothing concrete. Any idea when they will be sharing the results .

Computer vision; rejected without interview. Scientist at FAANG company, 335+ GRE, graduated from top 10 US undergrad program, 1 paper at top CV conference. (Supposedly) decent LORs.

Interviewed over a week ago. Area: Systems.

Got a call today from a faculty member who was one of my POI's. This was for the Machine Learning Department.

Accepted to the Theory Group. Note I was essentially guaranteed admission back in November by my PI.

TTPB: I applied to the 2-year Masters's program as well. Haven't heard back anything yet.

True! It was too generic. I guess they just want to see if are not insane. I wonder why they would waste so much time on interviewing so many candidates.

TTPB: the interview was good. But I doubt the interview has a critical role to play in acceptance, given how generic it was.

Direct reject. 5 publications in top-tier conferences: 1 first author, 2 equal-contribution second author. (supposedly) strong LORs. From what I have seen, it seems we have to lay golden eggs to get into UW.

Area: NLP. No interview.
