Does anyone know if interviews are offered? I didn't see many posts about interviews from previous years. is it commonly just an acceptance/rejection or do most applicants interview and then receive a decision

I've been telling people I was going to be an Ivy Leaguer... :|

Had an interview on 04 Jan. And got rejection on 14 Jan. Could be that my interest doesn't fit with any professors in the department.

Got a notification of acceptance! I had an interview back in December and the professor was honest about his recommendation for my admission then, so I was fairly certain I would get this. In-person open house (hopefully won't be cancelled) will be in late February. 1a/0w/2r/8p

Totally unexpected!

Invited to the on-campus visit after the virtual interviews last week with POIs, but I want Harvard and MIT, not a state university

Masters GPA 4.0 I interviewed with the professor I'm assigned to just by emailing him first.

3.7 undergrad GPA, 4.0/4.3 MS GPA from Caltech, 3 coauthored papers in robotics. Mostly come from ME and EE background, but now with interests in biomedical applications.
