Email to check portal. Had applied Jan 20. MA and BA in humanities, this was a sort of backup plan added at the last minute. 1a/11r/0p - got one fully funded offer from a good institution in my home field, second year of applying.

Interviewed with PI on Feb 5th, remaining radio silent until today received rejection

In-person interview on Feb 19th, accepted to a TA position on Feb 26th

the department has listed me as a top candidate for admission and they have been fighting for the funding for me for more than a month. today i received an email saying they regret to inform that they had done everything they could but there was no budget for this year. devastated with this news (the night before my conference lol) because i was the strongest fit for the program and professor.

finaid section on portal means acceptance right??

So grateful for this acceptance. I'm still waiting on two schools, but would happily attend Tx State. 2r/1a/2p I have a BA in an unrelated subject, 1 creative writing official publication, and am a volunteer reader for a literary magazine.

Checklist on the application portal disappeared. "Need Access to Your Financial Aid Information?" section appeared with a link to setup a SUNet ID. ~9.7 CGPA from Old IIT, 2 conference papers (1 first author), 2 FAANG internships.
