Got an email from a POI (computer architecture) listed on application. Chatted the next day for about an hour, thought it went really well, great fit. Told me to read 3 papers and write a summary.

Received an email from a professor saying I had been recommended for acceptance and should get an official notice at some time in the coming week. I've been involved in research since my first year, have strong LORs and am heavily involved with tutoring and mentoring students in chemistry.

Didn't receive interview invitation via email on December 20th. I have a Master's degree from psychology, experience from cog neuro lab and one first-author publication.

Dates Feb 4-5 or 25-27.

Got email for skype interview. OK Undergrad GPA (unrelated major), related work and research experience, good LoR and SoP.

"Interview invitations for Fall 2018 admission were sent via email to all selected applicants on December 20th, 3:00PM Pacific Standard Time. Applicants not receiving an invitation are unlikely to advance in the admissions process, but all applications remain open until final decisions are made and applicants notified."

2 years of research, 1 first author publication, 1 physics REU. I’m so excited!
