Very nice email informing me I’m on a “very short” waitlist. ** Also, I’m that annoying person who just posted this without specifying the field (creative writing). Sorry! 2a/1w/2r/4p

Accepted to California College of the Arts in SF (Poetry) with significant funding

Sent an email last week asking when we'd hear back. Got a response this morning with a form rejection.

offered teaching assistantship 1a/1w/0r/3p

A nice phone call that will follow up with an email. 3a/0w/0r/2p

Has anyone heard about poetry? Looks like fiction/nonfiction have heard back and I saw a post on here a week ago about poetry going out soon, but I haven't seen updates on here. Any intel?

Julie Agoos left a lovely voicemail. Follow up email tomorrow. 2a/0w/0r/4p

Lovely phone call! Follow-up e-mail to come soon. 2a/0w/2r/5p

Julie Agoos called to offer acceptance and a Truman Capote Foundation Fellowship. Very exciting! 4a/0r/0w/4p

Waiting to see if I’m offered funding. Nonetheless, very grateful! 1a/0r/3p

Email congratulating me, saying another email would be coming in shortly with funding details. Listed classes that accepted students could attend on campus (incl. a fiction class with Zadie Smith. I read this and passed out), and also gave a list of current students willing to answer qs.

blown away

Shouldn't be surprised, but one of the professors had invited me to apply so I had my hopes up a little. Crossposted to Draft '19. Congrats to the waitlisted and accepted! 2a/4r/2w/5p

Emailed the admissions coordinator for the Writing Seminars MFA and was rejected using the same copy-paste letter she uses for every other applicant (how I know is because she stated Fiction statistics to me though I applied in Poetry, and shared the email with one person in the a n g s t group). Sad to know I didn't make it as it was my dream school, but happy I didn't wait until April to hear it. Onwards! 2r/9p

Nice phone call from William Logan who told me what position I am on the waitlist. Followed up with an email from Michael Hoffman on Feb. 22nd. I really hope I get in!!

I got a very nice email telling me I am on a short list, and that the committee thinks very highly of my work. Wow, how crazy. I know it's super unlikely anyone will turn down Michener, but still it's nice to know that my work isn't just falling flat!

By phone, then followed up with an email. Only 5 spots in the poetry program, hope I get one!
