I was told this week after contacting them that the department is still waiting to get funding details from the university. They also said that applicants might have to wait until late March to hear back because of this. However I received an unofficial acceptance yesterday with funding. So I guess you could hear back anytime between now and late March... Fingers crossed for everyone :)

Does anyone hear from ISU applied linguistics? I had an interview back in January, and contacted the program on 2/17. They said my application was still under review. If you got any updates, please share. Thank you!

WTH ?!?!?!?!

Accepted with full funding and stipend. First admit with full funding... huge relief!

can the Iowa 2/20 acceptance post or DM their POI? Congrats!!

Has anyone heard anything from Iowa State yet? Haven't seen any posts on here yet and generally first round should be out by now.

I have been unofficially accepted with a teaching assistantship. I have been invited to visit their school on the weekend of March 26th.

call from POI

Had an in person interview on 1/30-2/1

The same rejection letter from last year's template. They should not be too lazy to type a new template: "...the Department has reduced the size of each entering class—quite markedly this year, in view of the woeful academic job market. This has meant disappointing many fine applicants."

Does anyone know if Iowa is done notifying fiction candidates?

Notified by the professor to consider looking at other institutions!
