Email to check portal. Same rejection letter as the New Writers version. Not surprised. Wish I had applied to some less competitive schools: like UTEP, Emerson, George Mason. The 27.5k for 3 yrs funding sounded so awesome.

Got a phone call from Kevin and was offered a TA.

Automated email telling me to check the website.

I guess graduate school isn't in the cards for me this year. I'm still waiting for one school, but I'm not hopeful.

E-mailed to ask about my status and got a response a few hours later. Was told acceptances have gone out and I'm not on the waitlist, ergo I'm rejected. DGS said they received over 100 applicants for 4 spots, 2 of which were in prose.

Checked portal. An expected result. Even NASA had some trouble when first shooting for the stars...keep writing everyone! 0a/2r/3p

No email. This was the message on MyStatus: Attention: A decision has been made on your application. Your application has been given careful consideration by the committee on Graduate Studies. On the basis of their recommendation, your application has been denied. We wish you well in your future plans and sincerely appreciate your interest in The University of Texas at Austin. This is your official notification. A letter will not be mailed to you.

I'm an international student. I knew that the letters had gone out already, so I emailed the department and asked if I could get access to my admission decision. They sent back a pdf attachment.

Letter indicated that they had the "fewest number of funded spots in five years" and more importantly used the phrase "it sucks." Would very much like to go if they can drum up funding for me!

Email to check portal. They are hoping to give final decisions April 15. Anyone know anything about the ND waitlist or moved from waitlist to accepted?

Received an email directing me to check the portal, where a "Decision" letter was posted indicating I was on the Waitlist. Ever hopeful!

To the poster below: I haven't gotten any word from them yet. Though if I do get accepted, I probably won't attend (I have two other offers)

Second rejection in a day. They were both nice rejections, but still. Ouch.
