I talked with a prof in the CS department who confirmed that they do not consider international students for Masters, only direct PhDs. Said it's too hard to fund International for Masters

Has UCSD started rolling out admits for Masters yet? I dont see any post coming here. Is UCSD going to do the same thing that UW Madison did ?!

Did any international student receive an offer from the University of Toronto for their MSc program?

Well they seem to have very little seats left after Covid related deferral. So they are almost not taking anyone for MS. Of course that means you are paying application fees to fund the college, but that is the truth with many colleges who seek to have 1000 applicants for 100 seats to create the impression of 10% admittance, sometimes even encouraging applicants with good GRE scores to apply for free. Wisconsin on the other hand charges for MS and separately for PMP.

Any update on DPhil in Computer Science? by the Department of Computer Science not Engineering. Anyone received an offer yet?

Got n email from the department saying I was recommended for admissions by the admissions committee.

TTPB: yeah man they're taking unusually long time this year. since they didnt give deferrals for last year admits i hope there'll be plenty accepts given out this time

Area: Systems. 1 top-tier first author conference paper. No interview.

Interviewed with a prof not mentioned in my SoP. Area: AI/ML (note: I'm a current UMass student.)

One member of admission committee + two CS faculty members let me know that all decisions have already been submitted to accepted candidates. They told me that if I hadn't hear anything back, it meant I was rejected

I already had my interview about a month ago. But yes, it's relatively late, so I got in touch with poi to ask whether they had already notified the accepted candidates, or whether there was still hope. Poi let me know that they haven't notified candidates yet

TTPB: accepted for this year, i.e. not a deferral. Very strong SOP and LORs, entrepreneurial success probably played a big role.

TTPB: It should be mentioned in your decision letter.

First rejection. Disappointed AF!
