Received an email from the department with an offer of admissions :D (no info about funding yet). Said they'll pass my application along to the graduate school for final approval.

Email from Graduate School about the acceptance. No update on the Application portal till now.

heads-up email from dept prof stating formal offer letter will be coming soon with details.

Received a very standard rejection email around 12 PST! I actually got an acceptance earlier in the day which I'll be taking so it hurt considerably less because of that. Best of luck to everyone who applied!

unofficial acceptance, hep ex, no interview but reached out to talk to a prof in Nov

Alerted via email today. Anyone accepted who plans to reject please, please do so soon!

Same as others. They do say in their email that they are refunding our app fees. Doesn't help with the cost of sending my GRE scores or the fact that I could've applied to a different school if I'd have known, but it's something I guess. on a side note... that poster who applied to WSU should ask for a refund of their fee since they didn't run an app cycle this year

This sucks. I thought I had a really strong application here. I feel like this doesn't bode well for the other applications I'm waiting to hear back from. 1a/3r/1w

And they tell you this after taking the application fees from you, is it? Why couldn't they have told this before? It's not like they realized they had budget cuts suddenly after the admission deadline.
