Domestic & non-traditional applicant, BC resident with BES from UWaterloo in Urban Planning. 1 year of work experience in applied health policy, 1 year other/admin. Hoping to switch fields into epidemiology. UBC was my first choice... maybe next year.

TPB: no, nothing from UBC... Did anyone have an interview?

Rec'd rejection on portal as "Admission Declined". Rec'd a message on portal with a generic message the next day saying the same.

Most likely will not be attending so I hope to help someone out!

I applied to the math program at UBC and have not heard anything. Interesting that someone's status said "in progress". Mine has been "submitted" ever since I sent my application. There has been no other status update. When did you get a notification of "in progress"? Recently? or has it been showing that for a while?

Has anyone herd from the MSc Program in mathematics from UBC. I saw only one post from a person who has been accepted. I have been a research assistant in the Cambridge math department and have a GPA of 3.93. I have not herd anything from them yet. Does the supervisor send you a letter?

Emailed grad chair for an update and he said all acceptances were sent out two weeks ago so I won't get an offer. Online portal still says "In Progress". Canadian student with Canadian undergrad.

I wish they were tell us a reason for rejection. I'm guessing that not submitting GRE resukts may effect your acceptance.

MSc from SFU with 4.20/4.00 GPA. Worked with a prof. with UBC affiliation during MSc. Focusing on bioinformatics string algorithms.

Emailed program director, she said that all offers had already been extended.

I know someone who had interviewed and got accepted, but I don't think they will give admissions without skype. I had contacted my POI, and he said there is no room for you, but I did not get the rejection. I don't know what is happening. I guess we are just in the list if someone declined the admission, they have people on the list, but the probability is equal to zero. please say your fields to have an estimation.

Anyone knows in UBC computer science program, department gives offer to applicants (and applicants can choose any advisor after their entrance to UBC) or a specific professor gives offer to them?

TTPB. No not interviewed. Are interviews mandatory for UBC or do they also float admits without interviews??
