Are the MS ML admits out or the 2 posted yesterday before the word vomit were real and NOT fake?

Multiple interviews with different PoIs. Granted GA funding and likely admittance to AI program once it's officially up. No publications but lots of research experience.

Any idea when the MCDS admits will be out?

NLP. 1 paper in a non-NLP field, some NLP research experience. Psyched!

No GRE, GPA: 85/100, two publications. Applied to PhD or MS program and got rejected from the PhD program via email. It said: Thank you for your application to the Computer Science graduate program at the University of Texas at Austin. We appreciate your interest in our PhD program. Today we are writing to inform you that our PhD admissions decisions have been made and the applicants we have selected for admission to the PhD program have been notified. Admission to our program is very competitive, and we received many good applications; unfortunately, we have to limit the number of students we admit. At this time, we do not anticipate extending further offers of admission to the CS PhD graduate program for Fall 2021. If for any reason that changes, we will contact you. If you applied for "PhD or Masters" then you will hear from us again around the end of March / beginning of April regarding your Masters application. We wish you all the best in your future endeavors and thank you for considering our PhD program.

Rejected from MS AII. From a top 30 US school, low GPA, No research experience. Expected a rejection as my GPA is low, and there are only 30 seats available lol.

Applied to M.S. in Language Technologies program and got rejected on Feb. 11. No GRE, GPA: 85/100, two publications.

Current UCLA ECE MS student, working with a prof from CS department. Open house for CS PhD is on 5th of March. If you are admitted you should receive your letter before 5th of March.

Oh well, too few seats and many deferrals. They actually sent the exact same email last year as well, so a waste of $$$. I guess top unis don't care especially if the undergrad uni you are from is unknown even if you punched above your weight to stand out.

I also received this email yday night. I submitted my application in early December, but LORs got completed on 13th/14th of Jan. "Thank you for submitting your application to Columbia Engineering's Computer Science Master of Science program! We appreciate the time and effort you spent in preparing your application. Your application is currently under review. While we cannot give you an estimate on when you will receive your admission decision, we want you to know that your application will receive careful consideration by the Computer Science faculty committee. Decisions will be made on an ongoing basis"

Only 30 seats are available so not surprising. UG GPA 9.4/10 from a very average university. No pubs, but do have some collaborations with the industry that made me feel like it was worth applying. Congrats to everyone who got through, and all the best to everyone else!

I didn't receive any "application under review" emails. I submitted on 14th Jan, did the video interview on 16th midnight. Not sure what this signifies now lol
