To the LSE IR PhD applicant below, I applied on January 9 and haven't been invited to an interview. Going by posts from previous years, I'm expecting to receive a rejection notification over the next few days.

To the poster below: I had an interview for the MRes/PhD Political Science programme in early February. On the 24th I received an email saying I had been provisionally accepted and nominated for the LSE studentship, pending confirmation from the Graduate Office; though my LSE4you account has not been updated. The MPhil/PhD in IR is my second choice, and I've not had an interview for that course. I don't know if that helps, but I'd guess the courses application processes are closely linked. Perhaps try emailing the department (or calling).

Has anyone interviewed for this program? Trying to work out if they are doing that this year and if you haven't if that means you're likely out.

At first i wasn't accepted into the phd, two days later i get the offer for the Msc(Second Choice)

No email received. Disappointed.

First-class honours degree in economics from a leading Australian university, however, I suspect I had a poor personal statement and a lack of pure mathematics in undergrad. Good luck to everyone else!

Excited but waiting for funding. I like to know the probability of securing a funding for the program.

Are they only rejecting people?

No email. Was expected.

MRes / PhD. Checked the website, no e-mail.

Not sad, got accepted from other prestigious schools. Average GPA from a French speaking university, with experience. Also got rejected from my 2nd choice. Good luck for others.

Average GPA with experience.

Same here, applied to MRes/PhD in December and haven't heard anything since. I also inquired about the status of my application/an early decision due to outside offers but didn't get a response so far. I think this just means that we have to wait until the dust settles a bit in the US. My impression is that LSE is a backup for many top 10 US applicants.

How many still haven't heard?I applied to the mres/phd in December but didn't hear back...

To the poster below: It has a very good placement record for Phd. Plus, it has a conditional offer to LSE's own MRes/Phd track. Much better than many master programs in the US such as Duke (>50k tuition)

Does anyone know the phD placement of this program? Is this program job-oriented?

Received my LSE ID in November. Had initially put Econometrics/ Mathematical Economics 2 yr as first choice. Received some $$ from support scheme.
