Does UMass give out rejects in the end? Anyone got any idea?

Biochem major, comp sci minor. 1 year research experience in bioinformatics lab. 3.02 GPA. Strong GRE (168/165), strong LoR from research advisors, strong SoP. Last 60 credit hour GPA of 3.8. Received acceptance email at 1:30 AM EST.

MCDS first admits will be out later this week per convo with professor

TTPB asking whether admits are still possible: I believe early PhD offers have gone out now, but I do not think this means that admissions are done -- they will probably keep making decisions over the upcoming months.

Received email yesterday on an update to my application status. Logged in today and it shows that I am accepted. Much needed.

TTPB: UMass didn't allow deferrals to Fall 2021 for Fall 2020 admits. They only allowed deferrals to Spring 2021 with a deposit. I got an admit for the MS program (applied for MS/PhD) for Fall 2020 but had to decline due to this.

TTPB: UMass did not give deferals. Stop spreading anxiety. "Please refer to the recent email entitled, "Updates on Fall Planning 2020." You may defer for one semester (Fall 2020) only. However, if you are unable to come to campus in January 2021 or decline to enroll remotely, you will need to reapply for fall 2021. Please carefully read the details of the email. The deadline to submit a request for a deferral is July 31, 2020."

Has anyone heard from the CS Neural Basis of Cognition program? I've gotten nothing but radio silence.

Did anyone email Umass and asked them about whats going on?

Does anyone know if all the admits are out? If not, when will it come out? Any idea? Thanks.
