Quite surprised because I was admitted to this program last year with 2k award. Higher TOEFL score, 2 more publications,

Emailed DGS and said "more offers will be made if needed, you will know around mid April if you are not offered a spot in our incoming class". Honestly is there even a waitlist if no one is denied yet??? You can't even say you're "waitlisted" if everyone is actually on it!!! Their department is also kind of passive aggressive as if they don't give a flying f**k about people they don't want. To all seriousness, screw this. I'll rather go to a school that treats me better and offer more help.

TTPB: I'm thinking of reaching out the second week of April to gauge how things stand to inform my own decision, but I have a feeling a lot of students are going to be waiting until the deadline to make their decisions, as a lot of people are ending up on waitlists when they would have likely been accepted any other year. For now I think it's just a waiting game, and worse than usual this cycle for sure.

Any updates on the waitlist pool for IU Bloomington? :/ Anyone heard back?

Does anyone know if they offer funding to all candidates?

Emailed POI to ask about my application status, he said first round has been sent out and will go back and choose second round if needed, otherwise rejections emails will be sent out to all mid April. About 400-500 people applied for 10-15 spots.

I really was waitlisted.
