I feel lucky to be shortlisted from 150 applicants to the top 22 candidates for interview round (yes they cc'd everyone). Interview was intense, 3 one on one with POI and 1 panel interview within 2 weeks, plus 2 events with faculty and grad students. Congrats to the top 5 who got accepted! Way to go as 1st cohort

got generic email from the graduate school. feels really impersonal since I got to meet all the faculty at the 3 day interview process

Anyone heard from Georgia Tech, UGA, Auburn, or South Carolina?

For those who haven't heard back. No interview invite for the Biological and Biomedical Sciences department followed by rejection.

Interviewed on 2/5. Rejection letter sent via email.

Received interview invite via email on 1/19/21. Virtual interviews and prospective students day are scheduled between 2/3 to 2/9.

Expected.

Surprised because the interviews went very well! We were 10 finalists to be interviewed.

TPB: I also did not hear anything. I think it is implicit rejection.

Interview with 2 faculty members this week

I'm a current Emory employee so this one hurt a little. I hear they are looking for people who have experience with formal models, so if Emory is your first choice, try to get some experience with that!
