Rejected for their MPCS :'( . My GRE might have been too low. Would highly recommend prospective applicants with even slightly below average GPA to apply if they have a high GRE Quants( and work ex).

This was an interview from the Caltech AI / ML virtual interview / visit day. I was told that decisions are expected to be made as soon as the beginning of next week.

Got the letter today. Decisions were supposed to be on 26th. Not sure if any mistake from the university. Hope it is!!!

Interviewed with POI 1st week of Feb, received an acceptance on 23rd with funding details: tuition, 22k CAD stipend per year. Seems too good to be true!

3.78 GPA, Strong letters of rec and personal statement, no gre needed

POI sent an email for interview on 15.02.2021. I already gave the interview on 23.02.2021. The POI will take the decision in 2 weeks. Research area is in computer vision. I already have a Masters degree and 1.5 year work experience (in an industry research lab) and 1 first-author paper in a top conference. I was genuinely surprised that the POI emailed because of the insane number of applications that MILA gets.

They said they cannot offer me a financial assistantship which to me translates to a polite rejection. But seriously, what is the purpose of giving admission if there is no funding?:))) what kind of idiot would go there do a Ph.D. and not even getting paid but pay them tuition too. It is hilarious.

I think the interview went well. Surprise there are interviews for Master program. Based on previous results it seems not many need to go through this process. Anyhow, hope for the best!
