I originally applied for the PhD program in mechanical engineering at Johns Hopkins. Today I emailed the program director to inquire about the status of my application. I was informed that I was not accepted for the PhD program. However, I was offered admission for the Masters program. Likely will not be accepting this offer as I got a PhD acceptance at another university. Am also a US student.

Got off of the waitlist. I let admissions know that if given an offer, I would accept it. I believe this helped.

Please please please reply back if you're not attending!

On behalf of the Applied Mathematics and Statistics faculty at Johns Hopkins University's Whiting School of Engineering, we are delighted to offer you an opportunity to consider pursuing a master's degree in Data Science through the new Home-to-Hopkins program. You can start as early as the summer 2023 term, which begins in May, or fall 2023. Offered through our well-established Engineering for Professionals program, Home-to-Hopkins features a thoughtful blend of virtual and on-campus coursework, all grounded in the exceptional education you expect from a Johns Hopkins University curriculum. You will spend one year learning virtually at home and the second year on campus at Johns Hopkins in Baltimore, Maryland. Once on campus in year two, you will be able to take in-person courses offered on both our main Homewood campus and at the Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Lab—the largest university-affiliated research lab in the U.S. It's a soft-reject, so ignore the waitlist status. Congrats to everyone who got in! Last and final for me this season.

I got waitlisted on 02/01/2023 and received an email from the director on 03/29/2023 to inform admission.

Please anyone who has been given admission to the department of civil engineering and has no interest in going should kindly reject to give us on the waiting list a chance. This is one of my top choice and my only positive response so far. Thank you.

Got a mail that I have been waitlisted while an initial round of offers have gone out along with a majority of declines. If any of the offer holders have already accepted somewhere else ,please consider declining this offer as soon as you can. This would mean the world to me and the other waitlisted candidates who will have a chance to be considered again.

professor emailed me saying that I sadly wasn't going to be offered a position. Seemed to have wanted me but couldn't make it happen

Is anyone rejecting the offer? Please reject it ASAP if you have a dominating one! Thanks sm!!
