Ignored the waitlist. Anyone got any news from UBC??? They are so quiet and slow in process…… I'm dying for waiting!

Admitted off the waitlist. Sociocultural stream. 4.0 MA GPA

Rejected via email, also expected this as another applicant noted because I hadn't received an interview invite!

Kinda expected this as I did not receive an interview invite. Congratulations to all those who were accepted in the program/department.

Hopefully, Round 3 is the charm. Glad to finally know what's going on so I can formulate future game plans

Checked the website. Was waitlisted then rejected!

Waitlist notification came in late February. Heard that they were accepting only two candidates. One of them rejected the offer. I got emails from POIs today.

Didn't receive an email. I just checked the portal and encountered a single note: "Application status: We regret we were unable to admit you"

Waitlisted in Feb and finally a rejection! Now my application season officially ended!

really upset

I have seen people posting about Berkeley anthropology updates from January to March. This is a very long and tiring process for a rejection.

You knew as early as Feb 3 who you wanted to admit but no let's make people wait 2 more months to tell them they were rejected. Who cares about basic decency? This is unethical and I hope you understand that, UCI Anthropology department.

After months of radio silence. So disappointed!

Email to check portal. Hugely disappointed, but at least there's an answer.

finally received my rejection after emailing last week and again this morning. email to check portal. second application cycle with nothing to show.. feel like a failure.

MA in Linguistics with a 3.95 GPA. Application deadline was Jan 18, 15 minute zoom interview on Jan 30. Sent a thank-you-for-the-interview email on Jan 31 and no word from department until a rejection through the website today.

Got an email to check the portal. Wasn't surprised, but disappointed.
