Is anyone accepted to Helen Zell for poetry that's planning on declining their offer?

"short waitlist"

I e-mailed them and was told that I'm on the waitlist. They said not to expect additional info before April 4.

so exciting!!!! this is a top choice program for me, i hope it works out!

Who wants to move to Iowa anyway.

Lol and just after being notified of being on the NYU waitlist yesterday :))) 2w/6r/3p

Well I am thoroughly confused-- got into and wait listed at other top programs with much smaller cohorts and pretty large applicant pools (UMich was about 1,000). I am trying to focus on that but I am still feeling pretty down. Not trying to be ungrateful, just trying to understand why my application was desirable to other schools with such small cohorts, but not Iowa with a larger cohort. Anyway, I'll be over it soon!

Welp, I still have some schools out in limbo (all of them have already announced) so I’m hanging my hat with this acceptance. Fully funded for 3 years in poetry. 1a/3r/3p (Cross posted on Draft ‘19)

NYU needs to fuck off

I mean that's nice but if there's no way to get funding then I can't go.

To anyone who reported acceptances at Ohio U: were you a poetry applicant? I've heard nothing but seen acceptances/waitlists/rejections for fiction and I think some nonfiction too.

Funding decisions available next week.
