I emailed to asked and the reply was that my application wasn't selected for interview. If I hadn't asked, I would probably had to wait until maybe April to know that I had been rejected long before the notification

Hi Guys After going through below threads on interview notifications on Virology, BBS & other GSAS program, I was disappointed that I got rejected. But to my surprise I have received interview schedule request via Skype on 1/19. I am really surprised, guys be positive you may receive interview offers. I am an International Candidate with avg gpa, avg GRE and no publication but 8 months research experience. Good Luck but that's not the luck you guys need!

Has anyone heard back from Harvard BBS?

For all Harvard GSAS (BBS, Immunology, Virology, etc.) posters: unfortunately it is absolutely certain and confirmed (directly now by contacting the Program admin) that all interviews were already sent and decisions (no interview, then official rejections) will arrive in March. 1 paper published, 1 first author manuscript on the way, several full-time years of research experience, honors in undergrad, 4.0 Master’s GPA (MS in Biology, well-known university usually within top 20-40 of QS rankings), several conference talks and awards etc. Extremely competitve program so not at all surprised. Wish you the best of luck for ones that got to the interviews.

Send an email regarding the status of my BBS application, got (what looks like) an automated response: applications are still under review, got directed to view the status of my application at the application portal. Not very helpful information...

Reached out to GSAS requesting application status. Response was that applications are still under review-- does this mean that a decision has not been made on either of my applications (including BBS which apparently sent out interview invitations in December which I did not receive), or would they just not communicate that information upon request?

I just sent an email to admissions because I freaked out when I started seeing that everyone got emails and I did not. They said that 'All candidates that were selected for an interview have been notified'. Meaning if you haven't heard back, it is not good... This one breaks my heart... oh well.

I can't believe it!
