I applied to the Literary and Cultural Studies program. I have a double 4.0 for undergrad and grad school. I am sad that I didn't get accepted, but I understand there are many great applicants and only a few spots to fill. Maybe I'll get in next year. Congrats to those who were accepted.

Not having a standard rejection letter is appalling. Genuinely gross.

GPA approximate (MA completed in England); received email around 4pm EST today with offer letter and to check the portal. The Portal was not updated as of 8pm EST. This is for the literary studies path and I was offered an assistantship of 22k (funding was not guaranteed for the full five years). Waiting to accept until I hear from my waitlist school (please someone reject UNR Lit)... NGL kinda shocked that I got in... 1a/1wl/3r/1p

Domestic applicant with a UBC BA and a UofT MA. Emailed around March 3rd for unofficial confirmation of my rejection, and received the official rejection letter on the 8th.

Canadian applicant with domestic prior degrees (UBC BA and UofT MA). The application portal description changed from Decision Pending to Admitted on February 20th, but I received no correspondence (email or letter of admission with funding details) from the institution until February 23rd.

No email notification, just checked my portal after seeing others post here. The school can't even be bothered to send an email, and they give you a one sentence rejection? Diabolical. Good riddance, Rutgers. 1a/0w/4r/1p

Randomly checked portal and saw that my decision had been made, no email notification. The very brief portal message: "Your application has been reviewed, and the committee has denied admission." I guess that wraps up my cycle ! War is over !!! 1.5a (0.5 is MA) / 13r / 0p

Rejected from the PhD program but offered an MA at 60% funding. 1.5a / 13r / 1p

Congrats to those who got in!!! This is THE top choice for me, so if you don't plan on going, please do let them know early—I would appreciate it very much!

As others stated, decision did not come in until long after the 4-6 week window. This one was rough to hear but sincere congratulations to anyone who was accepted!
