Chinese female who did her undergrad in the U.S. Got a lot of attention from professors during the interview but was ultimately waitlisted. Maybe I don't have the highest GPA but I have a lot of interest in the field and a killer life story.

Top 15 US university with over 3.9 GPA. 3 time FAANG intern and another internship. Over 2 years of research experience with one publication. Also had some tutoring experience. US citizen. Was hoping to get in, but not surprised that I woke up to a rejection letter.

After careful review of your application to the Computer Science Master's degree program, the CSEN Admissions Committee is not able to offer you admissions to the Research Based Master's degree program. This year, the competition for admissions to the research based MS degree option was very high and a very limited number of students were selected for admission to this degree option. Admissions to the research based option is based on applicant's overall application, research experience and most importantly the research match with faculty advisors looking for specific background and skills and the research match. However, we are very impressed with your application/credentials and are interested in reviewing your application for the CSEN-MSCPS, course based degree option, therefore your application is now being moved from CSEN-MS to CSEN-MSCPS review team. You will see this change in your application portal. You will receive a decision after the review for CSEN MSCPS degree is complete by end of March. Students may switch from course based option to the research based option only once during their academic tenure here. In order to switch to the research based option, you will need to locate a CSEN faculty who is willing to serve as your research advisor and then submit a petition to the Graduate Committee. These petitions and reviewed and decided on a case by case basis. During the fall semester, there will be several pre-research advising sessions by faculties looking for research students, which will be your opportunity to learn more about research in the department, if you are interested switching options. 3.85 UG GPA from a well-regarded school, top ten for CS worldwide. 3 publications, 2 first author to a big journal and a T2 conference. Lots of volunteer tutoring and TA experience. no GRE. international competitive athlete while in UG. Not sure what the deal is, maybe my statement didn't align with any faculty research? I thought I mentioned areas of interest that aligned with Princeton profs' research. Maybe it was just a competitive year. Admission to ivys can seem random at times, wishing the best to those who were accepted, I am sure most of the applicants were deserving of acceptance.

I was told by the department that all the admits would be likely rolled out by March 1st. Does anyone have any more information regarding this? Does it mean its a reject since I did not get any notification till now? Also, I can not find anyone else on gradcafe getting notified today.
