Received an interview request from Columbia. POI said they are behind schedule this year. I feel they are still pretty much in the process and there is still a lot of opportunities left. Personally I do not think a lot of official accepts have been sent. Do not give up hope people.

Area: Theory. Three publications, one first author. Three years of research experience including an REU. So very relieved.

TTPB. That is something I did not ask. With March 19 being 2.5 weeks from now it is possible for them to conduct more interviews, but I don't know for sure. Also, it looks like all admits at this moment are admitted without an interview. This is also true on the UK forum The Student Room. Honestly, it does not matter. If you have not received an offer yet, just know that there is still a chance of being admitted. Be patient.

TTPB: Do they still sending out invites for interviews? Or is it just offers now? Some people are getting offers without being interviewed - this is a bit surprising, as I thought that interviews are compulsory.

For those of you bitting your nails like me, I just emailed the cs department and they said the decisions are still being finalized and everyone should get a decision by March 19. Obviously your (my) chance of being admitted is lower if you have not yet received an offer, but hopefully this information will alleviate you from the urge to constantly refresh gradcafe. Good luck everyone.

Not accepted, waitlisted, or rejected yet... I have high hopes since I got a fully funded offer and generous stipend at UW Madison, and I think these schools are similar tier... Though, of course, anything could happen, and I'm starting to have my doubts since I haven't heard back yet. Not sure where all the discourse about Asians showed up, but at the poster below with the Asian only policy, good for you girl! Say no to creepy white men!! Better yet, say no to all men! Be a lesbian and date me instead :-) Congrats to everyone who has gotten in so far!

TTPB: I didn't interview actually. From one of the top unis in Europe, excellent grades and some research & teaching experience.

Dual-major CS/Math from one of the top three UCs. Good grades, lots of teaching experience, some unpublished research experience. I had asked a prof there about my chances and they told me their admit cap was less than 3% of the applicants, so I didn't expect this. Thrilled to get in! And TTPB about international students: with me, now there are several on this list. Only evidence thus far is US undergrads, but hard to get a complete view when they only admit like 25 people and not everyone is on here. And with those numbers, of course they're going to turn down amazing applicants, too!
