accepted into masters (I will reject)

Had to email the grad department as they never got back to me. I am pretty shocked, as I spoke to faculty prior to the application and they were the ones who urged me to apply. I wonder if it has to do with budget cuts like the Sociology program. If the rejection was not based on funding, I am unsure what they are looking for in applicants. I was a strong candidate and knew the faculty's work well. Very disappointed.

Email stating they were unable to review any applications this year because of funding issues. Very disappointing. I wish they had alerted us about this earlier.

Did anyone receive waitlist or rejection email from Oregon State? They basically ghosted me

I wasn't expecting a call until at least March 15th- it's still early for those waiting!!

Approximately 35 students attended the robotics open house. Later contacted with grad coordinator. He informed that around 15 students from the invited student list would be admitted, and the remaining will be put on the waiting list. It is unlikely who weren't invited will get an acceptance.

Strong rec letters, personal statement. No GRE, 3.8 CDS GPA

I got an acceptance some time last week by email and on the portal. I had no prior contact with faculty and I haven't been contacted by anyone about funding, potential PIs, no orientation/virtual visit events, whatever.

GPA is MS. Disappointed but glad to finally have a result. My experience isn't related to potential research but I was hoping to move in that direction.
