GPA 28.8/30 from Engineering of Computing Systems BSc at Politecnico di Milano, normal LORs, normal SOP, no GRE

High GPA from a reputable german University. No GRE. Medicore recommendation letters and motivation letter. Seems like they mostly care about grades and having the correct courses.

Very disappointed, coming from a top uni in Europe with good grades but from EE degree. I've given so much time to the application and research on ETH Zurich only to get the usual rejection email is harsh.

Quite tough to get if your undergraduate degree is not Computer Science or very related. They are strict about prerequisite courses and they have many outstanding applicants with a CS degree. My grades not really outstanding but I had a perfect GRE.

Top 10% of my class, First Class CS degree from top 10 UK University, final-year project research dissertation in Machine Learning, internship in research organization, accredited online courses in Machine Learning and numerous ML projects. They want the absolute cream of the cream, anything else is beneath them... So sick of applications

German from top german university, did an exchange at ETH, internship at BMW, top 5-10% of my class 2 patents. Very excited!

Hi guys, any Bologna applicant has got his answer so far? My "Withdraw" button has disappeared one week ago.

It was actually quite expected. My GPA is average, my previous major is not exactly compatible, yet I was depending on some other things. Nevertheless, I wanted to try it. I wish the best of luck to all other applicants!

Feb 2nd: Inivitation for ESOP Interview and unofficial acceptance to the program, did the interview few days after that. Feb 11th: official email with accepence letter, then the physical letter arrived in the mail a week later. March 17th: Notified of being accepted for ETH-D. Already accepted the offer and super excited!

Woke up to an email from my PI with an informal acceptance decision. Will be receiving the official offer letter tomorrow. I was waitlisted in February. I am thrilled and numbed with happiness. Getting accepted to my dream school has been the absolute ray of hope in the collective morbidity which surrounds us presently. For everyone else, hang on. Good news is just around the corner.

Yeah, after a campus visit in december, a phone interview after christmas and emailing to find out a month ago I had been waitlisted, finally just got a rejection email. Stings a lot as this was the top choice for me, I really, really wish these schools respected applicants enough to be upfront and not just send impersonal emails after stringing you along and telling you how strong your application is for their program. This definitely has lessened my desire to pursue a graduate education as and entire year of preparation and efforts, and months of waiting just slapped me in the face. Thanks Mich.
