Current Master's student in MS&E Applying for dual degree 3.91 GPA in current program Undergrad major: Math/Econ

Already a PhD student at Stanford. Decided to get another MS degree.

Financial Support via TA ship. Undergrad from top 15 CS school. 1 international publication. Research internship at large government research organization. Research assistantship under famous machine learning professor. Research assistantship in bioinformatics under NIH grant. 3 internships at a well known startup.

To the poster below: a "select group" of incoming MS students are given full funding - if you didn't have info about funding in the initial acceptance, you will have to apply for funding once you begin the program I think.

Does any admitted student receive any notification on funding information (tuition waive/TA/RA)?

Unfortunately for me I know a few who got admits and that has led me to the belief that Stanford admission process is extremely random. Even the committee members are unsure of what they are looking for. Seems like they have lottery system at place and just randomly pick people. Not a case of sour grapes. Just a conclusion based on data. On second thoughts this could be a nice topic for a paper.

Expected but still... A life dream has just vanished. 3a2r0w => Time to choose.
