From an excellent Polytechnic University in Italy

TTBP: Can you tell us if you were interviewed before. Also, what's yours are in CS?

Was quite a surprise!

Acceptance without having to undergo an interview. However, I am currently waiting for the award letter.

Undergrad from a top 5 IIT. 1 conference paper + 2 in submission. Great GPA, LORs, and projects.

German System 1.2, where 1.0 is best and 5.0 is worst. Not well known university, good letters of recommendation

CS Bachelors with low-ish marks, no ref letters but have FANNG experience.

Not waitlist. Anyone hear anything? Have all acceptances been sent out?

Has anyone received word from MIT EECS PhD? MIT's not reading any of my emails and their website said the results will be posted on the application portal by late Feb but nothing.

Not actually waitlisted. TTPB in theory: I was interviewed by EL two months ago but nothing since then, I'm assuming at most a waitlist now as offers must have already been sent by now.

TTPB: UofT reject: Would you mind sharing how you received the notification? was it an official email or POI informally emailed you. Also, did you apply for the direct Ph.D. program?

EU national, undergraduate at top 175 university (Times Higher Ed). High GPA 9+/10. Great LORs and good SOP. No GRE.

Interview requested by Director of Graduate Studies. Scheduled with a POI that I spoke to a few weeks ago. Response to earlier people, I was also told decisions should be out this week.

Forgot to add notes in the previous one. I had amazing grades in my first year but dipped in second year due to COVID. Had 2 amazing references. My uni used to be the 5th best uni when I applied in the UK but now has dipped out of the top 10. No GRE and EU national.

Received a rejection letter through email. Interviews went well, but many factors are taken into account and most don't have anything to do with us. For other rejections: don't let this define you. Good luck with your life!

TTPB: Not Theory or Waitlisted but my POI mentioned earlier this week that PhD decisions for the entire program are being made until March 15th, so there is still hope for everyone!
