Straight from undergrad + really good fit!

Penn State is my dream school! Will attend! Do we set a WA/Telegram group? BTW: Last year I received no offers from any of the 13 places that I had applied for (including PennState), this year, I already received two! If you are reading this and it has all been rejections so far, stay strong!

Received a congratulatory email from grad admin. First admit, so excited!!

no interview, CME, no previous contact, 2yrs research at home institute, quite a surprise actually

Sent 990 pGRE; had a great informal talk with advisors, HEPex

Informal offer via Email. Very happy.

Notified by a professor that I have been accepted, with an official letter pending the university's decision to grant me a fellowship. So excited!

My PI told me that they nominated me for the program via email a few weeks ago, but haven't heard from the program or school yet. They just sent an email regarding the virtual visit, but still haven't sent any formal acceptances. Is the virtual visit another hoop I have to jump through before I get admission?

Comparative/methods, super excited!!

Expected. Not so fit. Admission target is eight including MA and PhD.

IR

Not surprised. Only 8 ppl got admitted across the areas of communication science and rhetorical studies (all inclusive of MA and PhD).

Call from DGS. Excited!!
