Had an interview with the prof yesterday and he extended me an offer. Waiting for the official letter/ change on portal! TTPB who had an interview on 3/11: Did you have an interview w/ GH?

Email of acceptance, application status changed to Under Grad School Review. (Was told recommended for admission by dept, pending formal letter from grad school). There's a Virtual Graduate Visit Day tomorrow Mar 12 for meeting with faculty. Bachelors, 3.8 GPA, No publications, 2 RA positions, TA for several years.

TTPB: Congrats on your admission (Area: Systems). Were you in contact with a Prof? or did you get the admit without an interview?

Had multiple rounds of interviews with the PI in mid-late Feb. Area - ML and Computer Vision. Got GTA funding for the first year which may be replaced with GRA later on after working with my PI.

Was a long wait. Email from the department. Area: systems

Tier-3 private uni from India, garbage GPA (7.8/10). Papers in (ACL, NAACL, COLING, INTERSPEECH). Prof told me that he had to explain my GPA in the committee hearings. Recieved official email saying I've been recommended for admission to the graduate college by the CS Department.

TTPB: Wow, congrats! I didn't get any email today from UIUC Computer Science Masters :( Does this mean high likely it's a rejection..? Is there anyone else who got the acceptance today?

Are other people still waiting on decisions from MIT? I'm waiting on them and on CMU.
