Seeing a lot of results that say "generic rejection email" and/or just have the entire email decision pasted in. This is very redundant and adds zero value for everyone else: CS programs receive hundreds if not thousands of apps every year What kind of rejection besides a "generic" one were you hoping to get?

Got an email to check the portal. Had applied 20 days after the deadline ~20 Dec 2020. Strong LOR and SOP. No GRE submitted while applying. Toefl score was good (100+). 1.5 years work experience at a reputed company FANG level as an SW Engg.

TTPB: I submitted my application quite close to the deadline. Bachelors in CS from a Tier 1 university in India, GPA 8.8/10. 1.5 years of work ex. No research experience as such.

Area: systems. No interview.

TTPB: From last year's comments, it probably means that the department has made a decision on your application. The university will be informing you soon.

TTPB: The person who got the admit, could you pls share your profile. Also, when did you apply and timeline of the process

UK undergrad in pure mathematics, interviewed on Feb 24.

Email to check status on portal. No funding.

Interviewed late Feb, UK undergrad

Undergrad from Tier 1 IIT; 2 A* first author papers (ACL and ICLR) and 1 second author A (IJCNN) paper. Rejections from all 4 places I applied to - Stanford, UWashinton, Cornell and here. Its really frustrating!!

I got interview in Cyber Physics System maybe cos you guys decline it. Supervisor told me no funding available, 50k for each year and 200k for total four years. Thus, if we wanna have a PhD, just prepare enough funding. I may not agree to join this team. Good luck everyone !

To the computer science PhD admit below: Which area did you apply for? Did you receive an interview call? Your profile?

no interview and so easy to get offer. Oxford is not my first choice. Just decline it and find a CS job in London.

2 research internships, 6 months of work experience, 3 average research papers. Accepted in Artificial Intelligence track.

SCS

tier 1 IIT undergrad, coauthored 1 paper at top systems conference, another under submission. Did remote RA at top US schools throughout junior and senior year. This year is extremely depressing. 0a/8r/5p.
