I had a Skype interview with them early this month, but didn't get invited to the prospective students weekend, so I guess I saw this coming.

POI contacted me saying I was the student he wanted to admit out of 16 applicants, but will call me back in a week or two after he makes a final decision as to if he will admit a student at all or not, which is dependent upon if he is awarded a grant he is competing for.

Head of program emailed me to come in for recruitment week on Feb 21st. POI emailed me a day after.

Emailed my contact and he emailed back expressing his regret that he would probably not be accepting any graduate students this year after all. Bummer.

Aw, well that's disappointing. 3 years of full-time research experience in brain and cognition, 1 publication, average to high GRE score. Received a mass email saying there were a lot applicants this year, etc.

3+ years research experience, 3 publications, 2 professional presentations at international neuroscience conferences, 6+ semesters of teaching experience, 3.80 Graduate GPA, and behavioral stats certificate.

Commented earlier today that POI contacted me via email for a phone interview-- turns out that it was NOT an interview, he was offering me admissions (cog program does not do interviews first, just admissions). Good luck all!
