Does anyone know when they started sending emails to waitlisted candidates? I don't know how many students will be accepted from the waiting list. Anyone knows anything from the past data or something? It seems I am ghosted.

TPB: I was also interviewed. Then, emailed them and got to know that I am waitlisted. Attention open house, but I have not heard back yet. Not sure what is happening.

Rejected after waitlist. Thought the interviews went really well & was told by interviewers that I was a competitive applicant.

Ignore waitlist. To the previous students: I understand the discouragement and frustration of the situation! I was speaking with a few graduate advisors who explained the situation a little more saying that because of the COVID situation funding is cute so less positions as well as delaying the graduation of current students, which also means less positions an funding. Not a good year for applicants.

Re: No, I was not invited. I don't know anyone who is waitlisted and who is invited. I am waitlisted by 3 institutions. So, don't know what to do ? I will also wait till 15th. . This year because of covid, situation is really bad. For example U of Maryland, they have like 10 openings and they have received more than 220 applications. Places like U of Michigan has received 800+ applicants for 20 openings. Boston college has 4 openings. So.... Anyone who is not going to join, please consider leaving!!!!!!!!!!!

Waitlisted candidates are not invited usually I think. Hi to the person below this! Are u going to wait? This waiting is making me anxious. I am of this feeling that waitlisted candidates will have to wait till the 15th at least. Guessing by the number I think 1/3 extra candidates they must have waitlisted.

Is this true that all the waitlisted applicants were invited to the Open house? By any chance, anyone knows how many people are waitlisted? The Grad director sent the following email last week. "I cannot estimate chances that you will be admitted. Most likely, some of the admitted students will reject the offer before April 15 or right after April 15, and then I might be able to send you an offer. Please let me know if you are interested in being on the waiting list." It seems I am doomed.

TBP: I was interviewed and attended the open house but have not yet received an offer. Hoping to get one soon because I really like the program but I think they are moving very slowly this year.
