I applied for a Ph.D. and Masters though. Haven't heard back regarding the Ph.D. application.

ASU undergrad with 3.71 GPA, 2 NASA internships, a few other internships, 2 papers, 1 first author, another in progress. My letter writers are somewhat connected with MIT and likely wrote decent recs. Obviously it's MIT so very competitive.. Luckily I have a good offer at ASU! TTPB - Still waiting! I am probably checking every 30 minutes if it makes you feel any better. But I am thinking it will be a mass rejection for us since two-three people already got accepted today and it doesn't make sense to send acceptances one by one. I just want the wait to end, I already know what it is!

4.24/4.30 GPA, 3 co-authored papers, 2 years research experience, supposedly wonderful LoRs. It's MIT though, can't say I'm surprised. Sucks to think about the possibility for 4 months just to get a 1 paragrah email though!

I sent emails to some of the faculty members whose research I was interested in yesterday to know about the status of my application. And then today I received the rejection letter from EECS Chair. I don't understand why they didn't send the rejection email earlier. Sad life :(
