Anyone else think it's unspeakably rude to wait until 4/14 to send admissions decisions?

If you are not planning to attend please withdraw soon. This is my number 1.

Accepted off the waitlist; I'm absolutely thrilled

I posted below about being waitlisted. I checked in with my POI this morning, and she emailed me and said that a spot had literally just open up, and it's mine! Awaiting a letter to explain the funding though. I'm so excited!!! My dream school, and the only one I got into (funny how that works, right?).

update from waitlist post below. status updated on website; no email. super bummed.

So happy for one moment, but without funding I will have to reject my offer :/

Emailed Prof. Celenza to check status, received very sweet rejection reply within the day. For anyone waiting, it sounds like they've got not only their admitted but also enrolled students locked in. Official letter "in the next few weeks."

My status has maddeningly remained at "In Review," and I hadn't heard anything from the school (despite 2 previous emails asking for an update-- I know they're busy, but it was frustrating nonetheless). I assumed that I had been waitlisted, so I emailed the Admissions woman, and she confirmed: they already sent out first round of accept./denials; so if you haven't heard, you're on the waitlist. (By the way, this woman was out sick and got back to me within 24 hours, so I thought that was pretty cool, esp. since her colleagues never got back to me.)

Hey all. I'm waitlisted at BU, my top choice. If you've been admitted but don't intend to accept, I'd appreciate if you could let them know! I'm really hoping to get in...

Asked over and told me I have been accepted and shortly they will send me a formal offer letter via e-mail.
