Got into an IVY and some top 20 uni for mech. Still got rejected from UCSB which being my safe uni. I dont know why they rejected me. Doesnt matter anyway got into the uni I wanted.

This is a school full of legacy admits and rich kids anyway. Meritocracy is a blatant lie, no matter how hard I work I still have to "pay the price" for being born poor and nonwhite in this miserable excuse for a country. All these prestigious schools are the same -- they admit a handful of working class folks to serve as "inspirational stories" who are given the privilege of pursuing a doctoral degree, and the rest of us rejects have to beg for jobs that refuse to pay us what we're worth; meanwhile Jeff who's never paid for a bill in his life gets hired because his dad knows a guy at the country club. I hope all rich people lose their wealth and learn to live on the street like the rest of us "undesirables".

coming from a tire 3 college even though I had a sound profile, still got rejected guess these guys rank uni rankings and CGPA's more than projects and achievements

Happily surprised to have been accepted to the professional master. Wished it included funding as I originally wanted to do a Master Thesis. Tough call to make...

heartbreaking, this was my dream, perfect research match. but I think my GPA was just too low.
