Received a kind email from the DGS telling me I am on a short alternate list.

Email from POI letting me know that admissions committee decided against my application. Hurts quite a bit as POI was very positive in previous correspondence. Still have 16 others to hear from, so hopefully his prediction that I will get another offer will come to fruition.

Like the other poster, I received an email from POI saying I made the shortlist of applicants to interview.

Asked to go during visit weekend to determine fit. "Not an interview". GPA nearly 3.7. 2 years of research in related field. Good luck all.

I got an intent to admit email from the dean but haven't received my official offer yet. They said it would come in a few days

Do they typically do interviews? I saw one post about getting put on a shortlist for interviews, but I didn't think they did this typically. Anyone have any other info?

To the person asking about interviews. The email said they would arrange the the first week of Feb so expect to hear about interviews next week.

No interview. Applied fresh from undergrad so no professional experience. Double major with thesis.

Received an email saying there was an update on my application. When I checked my status I found that I was rejected. Very devastated. I though my interview (back in Dec.) went really well.
